It’s a big world- don’t get lost, get Zhiing!

Zhiing is a location finding service app for both the iphone and the blackberry.  Download it on your iphone and you can zhiing your location to any of your friends in one easy swoop.  If they don’t have a smartphone, they can still recieve turn by turn directions via text message.  This is a great way to invite a group of people to a party, or to meet for lunch at a new restaurant.

Another great use for zhiing is the ability to download it to either internet explorer or firefox, and zhiing yourself directions to any location.  What’s neat about this is that it not only cuts down on time by saving the steps it typically takes to get directions, it also allows you to get the directions exactly when and where you need them.  For instance, I recently took a trip down from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles.  Before I left I zhiinged the location of the hotel I was staying at, and several tourist destinations I was visiting with my family.  When I needed to get directions, I retrieved the zhiing, and then I had turn by turn directions from exactly where I was to where I wanted to be in just one click.  Beautiful!
