You are in command of The Guardian, the final line of defense protecting your planet from the dangers of space. Your mission is to be constantly on the alert for threats to your home world and to eliminate those threats. You’re on high alert, having just received a report of incoming asteroids…
Guardian is a fun game where you take control of a defense satellite orbiting your planet and fend off waves of incoming asteroids and rogue comets before they destroy your home.
The game features a simple input system allowing you to control your weapons by tapping the screen once to target, then tapping again in the same location to fire. It takes a little practice to become proficient, but soon all you’ll need to worry about is aiming and making sure your planet isn’t in the way!
The asteroids come slowly at first, then more rapidly in successive waves. You are scored on asteroid hits, with bonuses for fewer shots, clearing an entire wave, and the occasional rogue asteroid or comet. Your population will be reduced if you allow an asteroid to hit your planet, or if you fire at it yourself (accidentally of course). Once the population reaches zero you’re all done. If you’re good enough you’ll be able to enter your name into the top 10.
