Otherwise known as the African thumb piano, this modernized version of the African Mbira – a sound box with metal keys attached to the top to create the different notes – produces a distinct and beautiful sound. Our Akimba app turns the iPhone into a Kalimba, and it is super easy and fun to learn to play.
