Just as any typical App developer, I have been looking for the “killer” idea, the idea that will make my app an excellent “Killer App”. These efforts have bourn no fruit thus far.
Thus as an alternative, I have spent some time thinking about the next best alternative:
“The Useless Killer App”…just search for “top 10 useless iphone apps” in google and see how many results you’ve got ! yes, a lot of iphone apps are kinda successful…and completely useless (beer apps, laser apps, …)
What I have managed to achieve however, would best be described as “The Useless App”
And you will never be able to guess what it is! …. An empty black screen (a white or colored screen could be used as a light, still useful).
Believing that the powers that be (from Apple), would not accept such an App, I improved it and made it into a concept : “How long would someone continue to stare expectantly at a blank screen before realizing nothing is going to happen?”
So now you can test it on your friends. Just don’t say anything, and let them try the app…i’m sure they’ll love it.
Then get your own “iUseful top 10 users” list !
