A new update for Spinfast Studio’s iPhone game Baseball ’09 is live, taking it’s TV-style 3D presentation to new heights.
The new update adds significant lighting effects to the game plus new player models as well as a new stadium with fresh grass, raked sand and a more lively crowd. Beyond the visual overhaul, the new version improves performance and stability, as well as adding a little punch to the fielding with the addition of driving saves.
The new features in 2.1 build on the significant additions that came in the major 2.0 update which expanded the game to include player-controlled pitching as a complement to the robust batting system. The on-field characters also received a major boost in that upgrade, getting individual sets of skills and abilities to make each player you face a slightly different puzzle.
Spinfast CEO Robert Spencer says, “When Baseball ’09 came out in March it looked pretty good, but with iPhone games getting better almost daily it’s a whole new ballgame. With this update, Baseball really gets a handle on its 3D world which makes it a real joy to behold.”
