The LogYourRun iPhone App uses the built-in GPS of the iPhone as well as the built-in accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch to measure the distance of your exercise activities. By working both as a pedometer and a GPS device you do not have to wait to get good satellite reception to start your run – the pedometer will measure your distance when the GPS signal is poor.

The following is a list of the features of the LogYourRun App:
* LogYourRun Website Integration *
The LogYourRun App allows you to easily upload your exercise data to LogYourRun.com. In addition – the application can store your username and password – and has a built-in LogYourRun mobile site browser – so you will not have to login to the mobile site.
Intervals. The App will now also keep track of your distance and time for each unit of distance traveled. This will be uploaded to LogYourRun and can be reviewed graphically both on the mobile site and the full website.
* Maps and Routes *
In addition to measuring your distance you will be able to upload your route and see nearby routes and show off your routes. See local routes by closest routes or by latest routes so you can see what people are running at this time of the year.
* Social Networks Integration *
Share your activities on Facebook and Twitter. The LogYourRun app features Tweet My Distance – use this to automatically update your twitter account with your distance and pace as you are running. For more information see http://www.TweetMyDistance.com/
* Training Programs *
Sign into your free LogYourRun account and select from one of our many free training programs. With the LogYourRun App you can take your training program with you so you can easily see what your upcoming activities are.
* Heart Rate Tool *
The application features an easy to use heart rate measuring tool, which allows you to either tap your heart rate or count your heart rate.
This application works on both iPhone (GPS and pedometer) and iPod Touch (pedometer only).

NOTE: In order for the LogYourRun application to accurately measure the time and distance of your run you must leave the application on the screen – if you close the application or lock your device the application will no-longer measure your distance.
