SMS Magic for iPod touch and iPhone

Send and receive standard SMS messages with your iPod to any kind of mobile phone from anywhere with a WiFi connection. iPhone owners can also use 3G.. The required 2-way SMS gateway account has no monthly or setup fees, supports over 700 carriers in 200 different countries, and your unused credits never expire.

The recipient does not need a smartphone or any kind of software or IM client, and there is no need to know the name of their carrier.

You can receive SMS replies in 3 different ways: direct to the app, direct to your phone if you have one, and via email – immediately, if you subscribe to a push-email service such as MobileMe, Gmail or Yahoo.

How it works

Enter the recipient’s phone number or select it from your Contact List. Type your message and press ‘Send’. It can’t get easier than that!

The receiver gets a normal SMS message, with a telephone number to reply. When she replies, the message is stored on the gateway server and can be downloaded, read and responded to with SMS Magic.

Alternatively the reply can be sent to your phone if you have one, and a copy can also be sent to any email address you choose – for backup and/or new message notifications.

New Messages

SMS Magic automatically checks for new messages every 15 minutes while running, or manually at any time. If you set up a push email account you can get new message notifications even if your device is sleeping or SMS Magic is turned off.

Status Reports

SMS Magic can provide a delivery status report for any message that you have sent

Sent Messages

You can manage the Sent Messages List as a ‘Favourite Numbers’ or ‘Message Template’ feature if you wish.

Unicode

SMS Magic can send SMS in any language supported by your device.
