Here’s how you play:

You start out with a blank, scrollabe grid on the top half of the screen and 14 tiles in your “hand” at the bottom of the screen. Drag the tiles onto the grid to spell words. When you spell a valid word, it will be highlighted in yellow. Spelling words earns you points and more tiles (press the “more please” button to get your earned tiles). Longer words are worth more points! When your time runs out at the end of a round, any unused tiles count against your score.

Grabl has 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 5:00 game modes as well as a special mode called “frenzy!” where you start out with only 30 seconds on the clock and earn more time as you spell words.

iBlackout brings the beloved game of dice, chance, and odds that has been challenging players since the 12th century into the 21st century as an entertaining app for the iPhone and iPod touch. iBlackout is a modernized variation of the game Shut the Box (also known as Canoga, Klackers, and Hatches), replacing the number box with a rattling of the phone and hinged tiles with a simple touch of the screen. The game challenges the player to eliminate every one of the tiles, numbered 1 through 9, with a pair of dice. Roll the dice, add the values, and try and use the tiles to equal the sum. The used tiles disappear, leaving you fewer combinations of numbers to work with to equal the sum of the dice. Once you are no longer able to match the dice your turn is over.

Start from 45 points and count down, subtracting the value of the dice you are able to match with the tiles. The lower the score the better. Play with up to six players and try and get the closest to zero or play by yourself and try to eliminate all the tiles and reach zero, blacking out.

WordFlip is a challenging and addictive new word game to give your brain and finger a workout. Tap and flip groups of tiles to rearrange the letters in the grid, then form words – the longer the better! Earn bonus tiles with high-scoring words, but watch out for frozen tiles if you make too many flips.

Choose how you want to play: take it easy in Practice mode, race against the clock to score as many points as possible in QuickFlip mode, or see if you’ve got what it takes to beat Challenge mode.
