Back in the days of Pirates, people were fascinated with finding Pirate treasure, also known as “Booty”.

It was so prevalent, in fact, that when search parties had to let other members of their group know when they found some “Booty”, they had to do it in such a way that wouldn’t cause too much attention.  One of the most common forms of this communication was the gong, commonly referred to as the “Booty Gong!”

Nowadays, finding Pirate Treasure isn’t so prevalent, but every once in a while, we need to let our friends know what we’ve been up to and “Booty Gong!” lets you do just that.

Simply press the “Ring the Gong!” button and select whether to ring your own Gong or to notify a friend. Choose your friend’s mobile number and a text message will be sent to them notifying them of your experience.

About 20 years ago, when sound effects were big (we all remember Kaboom! Sound Effects, etc.) I, like everyone else, had a bunch of sounds and had utilities to play them at startup, shutdown, etc.  The thing about the sound effects, though, was that they got old fast.  One day I happened to find a sound that, to this day, has not gotten old for me.  As soon as I became an iPhone developer, I knew I had to make this app.  I didn’t know how well received it would be, but I knew at least some people would love it as much as I did.

Wooo! Button has been featured in “Fortune” magazine as one of the top 10 must have iPhone apps and has been downloaded almost 300,000 times.

Simple yet guaranteed addicting, Wooo! Button is simply that…a button that belts out an emphatic “Wooo!”. Not your typical play-once-and-forget sound effect. This one won’t get old.
