myMovies 1.7 – shelf vs. list

myMovies 1.7 – shelf vs. list

Our latest version of myMovies should really please movie fans with big lists: we did major improvements with respect to scrolling, introduced a flat last (we used to have a shelf view only) and added an index on the right hand side!

And if that’s not enough, we also added possibility to customize the ignore words while sorting by title (like The, An, A, …). myMovies now also allows to open the IMDB page within myMovies (so we do not launch Safari, but open a local window which results in myMovies not being quit when opening Safari). These last two options can be tweaked in the myMovies settings page.

As you can see, the featurelist for 1.7 is pretty long and interesting. If you did not grab your copy yet, grab it while it’s hot!

myMovies 1.4 is out!

We’re proud to announce that myMovies 1.4 – our next milestone release of myMovies – is available in the App Store.

In this new release, we introduce some more neat features:

  • 2 movie lists: Wish and Own (with easy transfer from Wish to Own)
  • Small labels to identify sorting details (based on sorting mode)
  • Handles all modern media (DVD, Blu-Ray, HD-DVD) as well as oldfashioned media (VHS, 35mm, 16mm) + ability to add custom media
  • Small words like ‘The’, ‘A’ and ‘An’ are ignored for sorting by title

As you can see, myMovies continues to grow to a full blown movie catalog which can stand easily next to its PC/Mac equivalents! So don’t hesitate and grab your copy today!

We just submitted myMovies 1.4 to Apple for review and we’re hoping it gets approved really soon as we’re really excited about this one (to be honest: we’re always excited about our new releases :-) )

Below you can find a screenshot of the new release:

As you can see, we listened to requests from you out there, and we introduced a wish list as well as small labels on the left side to identify – depending on the sorting mode – where you are in the list.
