Pools of Blood is a finger-tapping action strategy game on the iPhone, set to the rocking tones of Australian metal band Karnivool’s next single, Set Fire to the Hive. Kotaku says it “may be the bloodiest game (they) have ever seen” and described Set Fire to the Hive as “the perfect musical accompaniment to the sight of mashed orc flesh”.
Imagine a fast-paced tower defence game that’s something like Helm’s Deep from War of the Ring if you got to be Godzilla, but with better breath and longer squishing arms. It’s a tongue in cheek casual game which promises straight-forward bad-guy swatting for people looking to relax, and strategic combo chains for people looking to tackle the high score tables. Harder-core players can also score bonus points the more blood-soaked their screen becomes!
